Yichun Tang hails from Shanghai, China and currently based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. As a user-centric designer, his work focuses on crafting meaningful products and experiences that balance user needs with business objectives. His design practice spans from engaging B2C digital products to customer journeys in exhibitions and retail environments. By leveraging expertise in design research, behavior-change strategies, and applied cognitive psychology, he delivers evidence-based innovative solutions that drive positive impact.
In addition to holding a BASc in Product Design, with a minor in User Experience from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, Tang has a strong academic background in Art. He earned a BA in Fine Art from Shanghai University and a MFA in Material and Medium-Based Art from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. His work has been showcased internationally in prestigious art institutions such as Kunsthall Oslo and the China Art Museum. He is the gracious recipient of the SKS Diversestipend from Arts Council Norway and the co-winner of the Tank Curator Prize.
